The way in which Electric Pleated Blinds are constructed means that they can be made square, rectangular or even triangular in shape, this makes them a very versatile blind on difficult shaped windows. They are not only reserved for roof windows, they can also be fitted to a standard vertical window should you wish. With a whole host of colours and even patterned fabrics available your sure to find the perfect colour to compliment any home.
Another useful aspect of Electric Pleated Blinds are their thermal qualities, part of the range of fabrics you can have are a range call Duette. Duette fabrics are a double layer fabric with a honeycomb style interior, this helps to trap a layer of air against the window pane and insulate the inside of your home, they are one of the most efficient blinds on the market for thermal qualities, The Duette style fabrics are available as an anti glare fabric or even a black out density fabric which can be especially useful if you have a hard to reach skylight in your bedroom, the blinds will not be 100% black out as you may get a small amount of light ingress down the edges as most walls tend to run out slightly.
All Electric Pleated Blinds use 24v low voltage motors so you have to bear in mind your blinds will need a transformer, these transformers come in various sizes depending on how many blinds you need, if say you have a conservatory roof you may want to run 4 or 5 blinds from one transformer but if it’s a single blind then a smaller transformer can be used, we only highlight this because most people would like to hide it, so you need to make sure that where the transformer is located you can get a 240v power supply in one end and then a 24v cable will go out of the other end to the blind. Operation couldn’t be easier you can have either a wire free wall switch or a remote control handset.
